Paolo Riolzi works with images, moving between architecture, art and urban space. He is professor of Photography and Visual
Culture.
He collaborated with some of the major contemporary architects, artists and designer, among which Walter Angonese, Baldessari e Baldessari, Antonio Citterio Patrizia Viel, Mario Cucinella, Michele De Lucchi, Norman Foster, Massimiliano Fuksas, Frank Ghery, Zaha Hadid, Herzog & de Meuron, Rem Koolhaas, Daniel Libeskind, Richard Meier, Modus Architects, Renzo Piano, Peter Pichler, Philippe Starck, Matteo Thun, Cino Zucchi, Dan Graham, Robert Barry, Tadashi Kawamata.
His photographs are regularly published on some of the most important national and international magazines: Abitare, Architectural Record, Architektur Aktuell, Area, Atrium, Arketipo, Bauwelt, Bau Meister, Casabella, Corriere della Sera, Domus, Deutsche Bauzeitung, Interni, La Repubblica, A10 Magazine, New York Times Magazine, Living, The Plan, Wohnrevue, Wohn Design.
His research takes substance in projects realized through different media as books, photographies, videos and installations. His work often involves citizens as active players in shaping the landscape they live in.
His photographs and public projects have been exhibited and awarded in different museums and galleries, as well as in personal and collective exhibitions: Triennale di Milano, Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine di Parigi, MAXXI Roma, Museion Bolzano, Mart - Museo di arte moderna e contemporanea di Trento e Rovereto, LACMA Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Arquitectura Film Festival Lisbon.
He also exhibited at the XII, XIII and XVI Biennale Architettura, Venezia.
First prize at the 10th Mediarc - International Festival of Architecture in Video with the video“Centrale Mozart – Bressanone”.
